KAWS: BFF
2016 | Art & Exhibition
Fresh off his monumental sculptural exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the UK, highly acclaimed artist KAWS made his completely new large-scale sculpture debut in Bangkok, Thailand in partnership with Central Embassy in June & July 2016. Working with long time collaborator AllRightsReserved, who curated the successful installations “PASSING THROUGH” and “CLEAN SLATE” in HK and Shanghai, "KAWS: BFF" was one of the artist’s largest sculptures to date, standing at 8 meters tall. An acronym for “Best Friend Forever”, the title “BFF” evokes the close and lasting friendships of our youth. KAWS: BFF was accompanied by a series of limited-edition KAWS: BFF items, including the limited edition 20-inch KAWS: BFF plush, tee, umbrella, beach towel and tote bag, created in collaboration with AllRightsReserved, were available for purchase during the exhibition period at Siwilai Store and online store DING DONG Takuhaibin & DING DONG Takuhaibin Taiwan. |
